Dad took us to Cijin on a holiday. We decided to take the ferry. As the ferry kept moving forward, I only saw the borderless sea view. In this very short voyage, I got the feelings of riding the wind and breaking the waves. After we arrived in Cijin, we walked around the little streets and alleys. We found the Mazu Temple. We prayed in front of the temple for a safe and smooth trip at Cijin. Then we came to the Cihou Fort. I imagined how the soldiers fought during the wars and due to the perfect positions and structure of the fort, how they had gained victories, and how they had protected their people and made their people live happily. The government has announced Cihou Fort as a second grade historical site. The fort was planned by an English engineer.  At the main entrance of the fort are Chinese characters 囍 (Double Happiness) made by bricks in different forms. I am very thankful for my teacher and for giving us this assignment. It gave me the opportunity to visit Cijin with my family. We have learned a lot from this trip.
