Subject: Corn Potage Soup

Description: We thought about our favorite food, the corn potage soup, in the beginning when teacher asked us to do a planting collage. We picked seeds as our ingredients. We clove those seeds and scraped something black inside. The boys were afraid of getting dirty so we girls took over the jobs. After cleaning the seeds, we pasted black papers on it in order to prevent hands from being injured. Everyone gave a hand in this planting collage. We hope that we could have more time to do such a work because we do not had enough time to do "corn potage soup", so we painted some ideas on this work.

Subject: Golden Olympics Competitor

Description: In the beginning, although Yan-Yu thought we could make the face by using a bigger heart-shaped leaf, we still have no idea about this work. Cai-Xu suggested that we could take leaves and vines of the mile-a-minute for making a laurel, so we associated laurel with ancient Greek Olympics. Fang-Die knitted a Greek cloth with paper slips first, but we painted the cloth instead because changing the topic to modern Vancouver Olympics. Cai-Xu pasted the head and the laurel on, then she discussed about the player's facial expression with Yan-Yu. Because we assumed the competitor is the winner of the Olympics, we hope Yan-Yu could paint his complacent smile so vivid. It looked like a girl after Yan-Yu painted the facial expression! It should be a boy! We then picked some leaves to serve as hair quickly and wrapped his hair. Out of surprise, he even looked like a sissy! Finally, we took the remedial measure that we asked Yu-Xiang painting a flame on his head, and then he looked like a boy. We drew his cloth according to the ancient Greek clothing. We drew a trophy on his hand to mean that he defeated all the excellent players and won first prize. We wrote "Vancouver 2010" and painted the logo of Olympics on the drawing paper. We wrote his competition entry beside him to indicate that he joins the Vancouver Olympics. The background we painted is London summer Olympics 2010, although the location we settled is Vancouver winter Olympics 2010. After seeing this painting, you must feel through time and space. We painted the ancient Greek clothing, the competitions in Vancouver winter Olympics and the sites in London summer Olympics because we just do not want to be limited by time.

Subject: A Big Tree in Autumn

Description: Autumn is coming. We have to say goodbye to hot summer. Leaves turn yellow and flowers fall down gradually. Every flower falls down as a fairy comes to the world with its graceful dance. It makes people feel sorrowful. Why do we think about that? That yellow leaves embody the coming of autumn so we choose yellow, orange and red as our major color. To make it more vigorous, we add a little green on the work.

Subject: Plant Robot

Description: The plant robot grows the first plant on the earth. Why would we like to make such a robot? We think this is an interesting new idea because the plant and the robot are at two extreme ends. The plant is the creation of nature whereas the robot is the creation of our human beings. Combining them will be very interesting. Our idea is from the movie "WALL-E" and well-known environmental protection. No matter how advanced our technology is, we should remember to coexist with nature. If we can always remember the importance of nature, this will create a win-win situation. After the end of the world, almost all animals and plants extinct and thus a new world emerges. Just over the end of the world, the world becomes barren and deserted. The people in the new world are eager to see a plant. Now they stop feeling hungry only by drinking water. They will pay all the fortune to buy it even if it is just a fruit. However, in entire world, the only survival is a plant after doomsday. It is impossible that all people share the single plant for living. At that time, something like robot lands down after a flash of light. A burst of sound comes out of its mouth. It said that "It will help you as long as you don't ruin the earth again like the people used to do." The unknown object is an alien that scientists have been searching for a long time. "Okay, Okay, I promise you everything you ask, just begging you for taking me leave the abyss of suffering!" a young man said. "Don't be so selfish, thinking about the others!" the alien angrily answered. The robot said: "I am plant robot RY318, from now on I will teach you all to grow crops, cook etc..." Then it scolded: "Look at you! How did you destroy the plant? It is the only survival from last world!" "Why do you think you deserve to accuse us?" a man said with disdain. But other people glared at the man right away before the alien and robot responded. At that moment, everyone felt down and the only plant also died. There is no any "green" on earth anymore. The robot felt sad and flied away. After a period of time passed, the robot came back and took a plant back as well. "It is the last and the only hope on earth, let us grow it!" robot said carefully. No one protested anymore. Everyone cried just when everyone and the robot grow the first plant in the new world. They cried without feeling sad but just cried with joy. The environmental pollution is still serious on earth. We have to learn the lesson, never forgetting the main principle "to protect environment!"
